Frequently
Asked Questions
Dining management is how a hotel takes, seats, and tracks every table reservation across its restaurants, bars, and patios, plus the harder-to-run formats like chef's tables, tasting menus, and private-dining events. Historically hotels have juggled a paper reservation book, an OpenTable widget, and a spreadsheet for special events.
Turneo's dining and table-reservation management replaces that with a single visual view where reservations, walk-ins, room-charge billing, and F&B minimums all sit in one place, and the floor plan itself is the reservation calendar.
Every reservation your dining operation takes. Regular table bookings across restaurants, patios, and bars; chef's tables and tasting menus that need their own pricing rules; private-dining rooms sold as one bookable unit; and full outlet buyouts for weddings or corporate events.
Each format lives on the same floor plan and shares the same live status view, so a Tuesday walk-in and a Saturday chef's table are two different reservation types on one system, not two systems bolted together.
Most restaurants are ready within an hour of onboarding. You draw your outlet's floor plan visually in Turneo Hub, drop each table at its real position, set opening hours per weekday, and link the tables to the reservation types you want to sell.
Zones for patios, indoor sections, and bars are visual regions on the plan, so your staff sees the outlet as it actually is when they're taking a call. Change anything later and every channel updates immediately.
Yes. Each outlet gets its own floor plan and its own opening hours, but reservations, live status, and reporting are shared across every outlet you run.
Your rooftop bar, your main restaurant, and your pool patio each show up as their own map, and your team sees them side by side in one dashboard. Guests browsing your Store choose the outlet they want and see availability specific to that plan.
Guests pick the service they want (dinner at 8 for four, a chef's table on Friday, a Sunday brunch on the patio) and Turneo assigns them to a free table that fits the party. They don't pick individual tables themselves; the system finds one that matches their party size and the reservation type they chose, and confirms the booking.
The reservation lands on your host stand's live map instantly.
Your host works from the same live map guests book against. When someone walks in, the host taps any free table to seat them, and every other channel (web, phone, concierge) sees that table as taken from that second.
Status colours make the shape of the service visible at a glance: which tables are held, which are seated, which just no-showed. No radios, no reservation-book-vs-computer mismatch.
Yes. Each reservation type is its own bookable option with its own price, its own F&B minimum, and its own rules, so a chef's-table dinner can enforce a €120-per-guest minimum, a Sunday brunch can carry a fixed cover charge, and a walk-in seating can stay flexible.
Multiple reservation types can share the same table, so a 4-top in your main room can be a chef's table on Friday and a family lunch on Sunday.
Every reservation, walk-in, and no-show is captured on the shared dashboard your other Turneo verticals feed into. You can see live covers as the service runs, and pull revenue, occupancy, and no-show rate by outlet, reservation type, or date range.
That's how you spot which service is quietly under-booking, which chef's tables are punching above their weight, and which nights need a marketing push.
Yes, room folio is one of the payment options on every reservation, alongside pay-on-site at the outlet. A guest booking a chef's table at check-in can flag the room for on-site charging, and any upsell during the meal can flow to the same folio.
Card prepayment for dining reservations is not currently supported and is on Turneo's roadmap.
You set a refund policy per reservation type, expressed as tiers of hours before start and a refund percentage. A chef's table might refund 100% up to 24 hours before, 50% between 24 and 4 hours, and 0% inside 4 hours.
A walk-in-friendly service might be fully non-refundable. Guests see the policy at booking, and cancellations inside the free window release the table back to bookable inventory instantly.
